Poster Collage
This is a collage I did based on the most beautiful vintage poster I found in France (see smaller image to the right). I used ripped up pieces of an old dictionary for the background, fabric for the little girls dress, and different types of paper (including sand paper) for the cats. It was then all stuck down on illustration board (with several tubs of glue) and photocopied.

Paper Light Sculpture
This is a two meter tall paper light sculpture I did for a design project at Tafe. It was made over several weeks using only paper, glue, and wire. The lamp stand itself runs through the middle of the sculpture and carries three light bulbs positioned at the bottom, middle and top. Paper sculpture and illustration can produce some beautiful results however patience is a must. I think I will have to wait awhile before undertaking such a huge project again (mainly to let the paper cuts heel!).

Winter Girl
Meet Winter Girl and her cute little kitty Molly. This is the first of a series of prints I am doing for my Etsy shop and an art market later on in the year. This is a multi media image made by scanning in textured card and fabric then compiling the work in Ai. I plan to work with this technique regularly as I feel it has great potential for interesting and unique work. Stay tuned for Summer Girl!
Life Painting
This life painting was done with acrylic on illustration board. It is part of a series of life paintings done in class with a live model. I enjoy life drawing and paint immensely as it is a great place to experiment and give yourself permission to make mistakes. Having models in the room is great as it helps an illustrator understand how the body moves and makes for a much more fluid image.

My Lovely Ladies
Here are some interpretations of my very best friends. I created these AI images as Christmas gifts (and also did one for myself, slightly egotistical I think but hey I didn't want to be left out!). I used photo references and the almighty pen tool to create these. I hope my friends don't mind me posting them, I will not label who they are, I'll leave it up to them to guess;-)

Little Fish in a Big Pond
Finally I have started my blog! and as this is my first post I felt this image of a little fish happily creating bubbles captured my mood perfectly. This illustration was done using watercolour and gouache and was designed under the brief 'creation'. I wanted to make an image that showed that even a small fish can be the creator of something beautiful. As I feel very much like a small fish in the big big ocean of illustration and design I must say I can relate! hopefully throughout this blog I can share some of my little creations with the world (or at least my devoted friends and family) Enjoy!
